About Jillian

A licensed K-12 Spanish teacher and teacher leader of 14 years, Jillian has taught thousands of middle school students as well as trained and coached hundreds of language teachers through her roles as Regional Team Specialist for Denver Public Schools, MEXT instructor for English teachers from Japan, and session facilitator for the Colorado Congress for Foreign Language Teachers. In 2014, a complete switch to Comprehensible Input practices in the classroom yielded results beyond her wildest imagination. Adult friends and family asked her for Spanish classes for years, and so her classes for adults were born. Jillian feels a deep love and passion for making Spanish fluency attainable for all adults while holding on tightly to the playful, “middle school teacher vibe” that brought her to this role. 

Jillian lives in Aurora, Colorado. In her free time, Jillian loves gardening, learning new things, spending quality time with her preschool daughter, and savoring the outdoors.
